Appleworm™ Orchard is pleased to offer not only layers of beautiful eggs, but also a variety of such layers. In 2016 we will make available to the public the offspring of at least least nine breeds of laying chicken. One lays dark brown eggs (Marans), another blue (Legbar), another green (Isbar), and six lay various shades of white. Four are genuinely dual-purpose: The pre-crowing cockerels have enough meat to be worth dressing. And, while all are pretty, two are primarily ornamental (Orust & Swedish Black Hen).
